With access from the fringes of the indigenous bush and
forest these can
be specially designed units fitted into pockets and clearings
in the forest.
Parking and or garages may have to be separate from dwellings.
These will be:
• extremely private
• tree-top decks and looking out over the bush from
upper level
• outdoor spaces carved into the bush.
• nature lovers retreat
• possibly need to park or have separate garage.
• small footprint
• possibly timber frame construction
• appeal to smaller sector of population (treetop
living)
• should be very “earthy”, natural and
environment friendly in character.
Suggested Features:
• Natural stone or earth-tone plaster and paint walls.
• Dark “Vermont” cladding on timber frame
for upper level.
• Colour contrasting window surrounds in cladding
material.
• Prominent timber decks and pergolas on upper level.
• Patio spaces under upper floor slabs leading into
the forest.
